Garden update

The Source Garden is in Transition. The plants that kept our plates and mouths full throughout summer are now in the (metaphorical) hands of a very large family of worms that call our compost bins Home. The garden looks rather bare at the moment, but looks can be decieving. Hiding under that soil is a smorgasbord fo seeds that - given a month or so - should yeild garlic, asian greens, lettuce, beans and brassica's.

Solve the mystery and wonder of turning cabbage into Sauerkraut with the power of Lactobacillus, your colon's best friend.  It's alimentary, my dear Watson!
This session is free, but people should bring their own jars, bowls, chopping knives, and cabbage IF THEY CAN.  And any other ingredients they want to add (garlic, dill, chillies, carrot, etc.etc.).

New Point of Sale system being trialled

Source is trialling a new point of sale system.  This new system means no more PLUs and will allow shopkeepers to keep a closer eye on stock, monitor our sales and, in the long run, mean speedier service at the counter on those extra busy days. Please be patient over the next few weeks as the shop keepers settle into the system! Big thanks to Jay, Mike and others for getting this sorted!

Big thanks for Home Brew Festival Vollies

The home brew festival held earlier this month was a fantastic success, with some tasty beers and interesting conversations!
A huge thanks to Mike for getting the thing started and to Bridget and Colin for stepping in at the last minute to make it happen.
More huge thanks to all those volunteers to helped out on the day and before the event to make it a great success!
